Recently returned from Montreal, Robert Loveless seduces audiences with his pop croon and “baby making-music” (as described by Gus’ Pub crowd member behind me). Loveless is vulnerable and performs without the shield of his guitar. It is refreshing to see a dancing, singing frontman with such sultry confidence in Halifax. Loveless’s voice warbles on top of groovy bass, wavy experimental sounds, and otherwise effected instrumental tunes. His music relaxes but at the same time you can definitely shake your rump to it. He sings about truth and love and his lyrics will tickle something deep and murky within you. Can’t stop thinking about his September 26th performance and his luscious curly hair… We’ll eagerly keep you posted on any upcoming shows.
